X-Pac rugged X50 features a Cordura® mil-spec fabric elevated to tactical status with a 400d aramid X-PLY® which is lighter weight, stronger, and more abrasion-resistant.
NEW! - 2 x External Water Bottle Compartments: Foldable with zipper.
The V3.0 version of our backpacks comes with a new generation of straps: thicker, wider, stronger and highly elastic PU Sponge padding inside to help you feel more comfortable when carrying backpack with heavy weight for long periods of time.
We provide you with more options for storing water bottles/umbrellas/tripods/accessories on the inside. 2 x elastic compartments inside the main compartment will help you do that.
We provide 2 x laptop compartments for you, TSA friendly, quick access from the outside, raised from the bottom of the pack to prevent direct impact with the floor and capable of converting into a Hydration Pocket for outdoor activities
The CT21 V3.0 Backpack has the right size and volume for most needs: daily use, walking, traveling, going to work and physical training.
Pros:
- x50 fabric is nice. It is stiff but not as "crinkly" as X-Pax 42. Looks like it will wear nicely. The stiffness helps the pack standup and keep shape when empty. (Some may prefer a floppier pack)
- Overall well built and great balance of attachment points without looking too tactical
Cons:
- Shoulder straps feel attached to the bag fairly far apart. They are 13cm apart and most bags appear to fall in the 7-10cm
- The 210D fabric on inside of the straps and back panel is slippery. Combined with the wide set straps it feels a loose. (500D seems like it would grip without tearing up clothes?)
- Personal Preference: Don't love the exterior water bottle pockets they interrupt the lines of the back and have a different material which sticks out. Also snag when pulling the bag out of an overhead compartment or under seat/with other bags in a trunk.
Excellent work CT!
